As part of our community outreach program, Mentor Monday brings together young minds, experienced mentors, and industry professionals to create an environment where innovation thrives.
What is Mentor Monday?
Mentor Monday is a special event held at our innovation center where we invite youth from the community to come and explore the world of invention and innovation. These young innovators get the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals, present their ideas, and work on their own inventions in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Learning and Mentorship
Interactive Workshops
Our events kick off with interactive workshops led by experts in various fields, including engineering, design, technology, and business. These sessions provide valuable insights and hands-on learning experiences that empower the youth to think creatively and develop their skills.
One-on-One Mentorship
Each participant is paired with a mentor who guides them through the process of refining their ideas and turning them into viable projects. Our mentors are experienced professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping the next generation succeed.
Presenting and Collaborating
Pitch Sessions
After the workshops, the young inventors have the chance to present their ideas to a panel of mentors, peers, and industry experts. These pitch sessions help them gain confidence in their abilities and receive constructive feedback that can help them improve their inventions.
Collaborative Workspaces
Throughout the day, participants can collaborate with other young inventors, exchange ideas, and work together on projects. Our innovation center is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and resources to support their creative process.
Building Prototypes
Top-Voted Invention
At the end of the day, the most promising invention is selected through a voting process. The top-voted invention receives special support from our prototype shop owners, who help bring the idea to life by building out a working prototype.
Hands-On Experience
This unique opportunity allows the winning inventor to work closely with professionals in our prototype shop, learning the intricacies of product development and gaining valuable hands-on experience.
